KDC HC-03W Elektro-Handschellen

Supported TouchBound functions

Sensing zones

NOTE: When unequipped, the bracelets and sides will ignore all interactions. The chaining point will also be deactivated.

Supported locks

Special interactions

Cuffing

Handcuffs worn on the avatar will be invisible by default. In this stage, the centerpiece & the click helper can be clicked to bring up the cuffing menu.

  • In Front: The wearer's wrists will be bound in front of their belly.
  • In Back: The wearer's wrists will be bound behind their back.

Tightening

By default, when the wearer equips the handcuffs by themselves, the handcuffs will be considered “loose”. Using the “Tighten” menu option will tighten the handcuffs and prevent the wearer from simply slipping out of them.

Uncuffing

When the handcuffs are worn and unlocked, clicking the main body (not the keyholes) will bring up the uncuffing menu.

  • Loose handcuffs can be removed by the wearer.
  • Tight handcuffs can only be removed by someone else than the person wearing them.

NOTE: When the handcuffs are removed, any chain/lock/accessory/suspension on the chain point will also be removed.

LED Indicators

The handcuffs feature 4 columns of RGB LEDs on their surface, their color indicates the state of the handcuffs:

  • RED: The handcuffs are locked.
  • ORANGE: The handcuffs are tight, but unlocked.
  • GREEN: The handcuffs are loose, but unlocked (in this state, the wearer can remove them at any time by using the “Uncuff” option).

NOTE: When using a Time-release padlocks on the cuffs, the LEDs will animate to reflect the remaining time.

Adjustments & Fitting

Depending on your avatar proportions (shoulder width, arm length, etc…) It might be difficult to get the wrists to line up properly with the handcuffs. Because the handcuffs disable editing when worn, it is strongly recommended to do your adjustments without wearing the KDC RLV Activator.

The handcuffs have been built in multiple mesh parts and the product is +modify, you can extend the centerpiece of the cuffs by moving the ratchets, bracelets and lock blocks independently.

These handcuffs can stretch a lot!

For each pose (unequipped/back/front/suspension) the handcuffs will remember their last position/rotation and will restore it. If the handcuffs position is wrong for a given pose, simply move the attachment into position and it will be saved.

Each animation has multiple wrist spacing variants.

A secondary animation that makes bento-compatible hands look a little less static will be triggered when the wrists are handcuffed together, it can be safely removed (or replaced) if this behavior is undesirable (TB_CFF_BCK_BENTO & TB_CFF_FNT_BENTO animation assets)

Extra configuration options

Because of the way this product operates, there are a lot of optional configuration options to help with fitting.

config.clicker.hidden

Rename this notecard to configure whether the click helper mesh will be visible or hidden when the handcuffs are in their unequipped state. (The possible values are case-sensitive)

  • config.clicker.hidden=Yes (hidden when the handcuffs are unequipped)
  • config.clicker.hidden=No (visible when the handcuffs are unequipped)
config.clicker.hidden=No config.clicker.hidden=Yes

NOTE: The click helper is designed to remain readable when highlight transparent (Ctrl Alt T) is used. The click helper can be freely moved and resized, or even removed, but one should avoid covering the chain point or the lock points with it.

config.colorblind

Rename this notecard to enable/disable the LED colorblind mode.

Possible values: (case sensitive)

  • config.colorblind=No normal mode
  • config.colorblind=Yes colorblind-friendly mode

The colorblind-mode provide an alternative color scheme.

  • RED: The handcuffs are locked.
  • YELLOW: The handcuffs are tight, but unlocked.
  • BLUE: The handcuffs are loose, but unlocked (in this state, the wearer can remove them at any time by using the “Uncuff” option).

NOTE: This is the best I could come up with that still made sense for people without color blindness, and looked good with emission, do message me if you have a better alternative.

config.detach.closed

Rename this notecard to configure whether the bracelets should be open or closed when the handcuffs are unequipped.

Possible values: (case sensitive)

  • config.detach.closed=Yes The bracelets will close after the handcuffs have been unequipped.
  • config.detach.closed=No The bracelets will remain open.

config.detach.hidden

Rename this notecard to configure whether the handcuffs should be visible or hidden when unequipped.

Possible values (case-sensitive):

  • config.detach.hidden=Yes The handcuffs will become invisible in their 'unequipped' position.
  • config.detach.hidden=No The handcuffs will remain visible, even in their 'unequipped' position.

config.offsets

This configuration card is the only one in the handcuffs where the actual content of the card is parsed by the scripts. It regroups all the default position and rotation offsets for each handcuff state.

Offsets are automatically saved, so there is no need to edit this configuration card unless you reset/update your scripts often and want your offsets to be saved more permanently.

This configuration card is only read once, when the scripts are booting and will be ignored otherwise.

config.spacing.*

Each animation has multiple wrist spacing variants, you get 11 options per animation (front/back/suspension)

  • config.spacing.back=0
  • config.spacing.front=0
  • config.spacing.suspend=0

The “0” value is the default and can go from -5 to +5.

config.tightness

Rename this notecard to configure the tightness of the handcuff bracelets.

Can be adjusted to any positive or negative angle (1 degree increment), to make the bracelets more or less tight and fit your avatar wrists better.

config.tightness=20 config.tightness=-20

config.tightness=0 Is the default where the cuff bracelets are circular.

Bondage poses

In Front In Back

Suspension

Once the wrists have been cuffed together, it is possible to use the chain point to hang the wearer by the wrists from an overhead anchor point. The suspension animation will temporarily override the cuffed animation.

NOTE: This feature triggers automatically, assuming that it won't conflict with another animation of the TouchBound system.
